- Utility symbols are service-territory centroids, not legal boundaries.
- SPP West uses published predecessor WACM and WAUW control-area geometry because the selected layer has no current SWPW polygon.
- SIKE and BHBA use labeled point fallbacks because the selected GIS layer has no usable polygon.
- Connection lines join representative balancing-area points. They show reported relationships, not physical line routes or power flows.
- Market footprints are assembled from balancing-area geometry. Physical-grid groups are derived from the reference regions.
- Utility counts use the control-area codes reported with each record. Historical codes are preserved, including predecessor codes and utilities reporting multiple areas.
